Lorena is a bilingual expert yoga teacher (E-RYT), Reiki Master, certified meditation, mindfulness, and wellness coach, motivational speaker, contributing writer for wellness magazines, a Manduka ambassador and the founder of Hanaq Prana Yoga Studios. Lorena travels the world leading yoga teacher trainings, spiritual retreats and workshops. She is known for her genuine love of people and community. Her belief in the inclusive effect of yoga, and her particular self-expression of equality and motivational style of teaching that blend both physical and mystical aspects make her practice accessible to everyone. Whether Lorena is teaching professional athletes, cancer patients, veterans, restorative yoga, power vinyasa, meditation or balancing energy classes, she leads with a focus on holistic alignment, positive visualization, intention and a prayer approach that empowers students to accept their true meaning of the inner self and individuality on and off the mat. Originally from Perú, she has been exposed from a very young age to diverse spiritual and alternative natural ways of interconnection towards self-healing and self-empowerment.
For over a decade of continuous development, she has received training and credentials from prominent institutions and international teachers in multiple modalities like: The Kripalu Center of Yoga and Ayurveda, Tara Brach, Jonathan Fautls, Sean Corn, Matthew Sanford, Marsha Heart-Harold, Maricela Blanco, Don Narcizo Altomazayo of the Q’ero Community. Due to her continued effort of bringing health and wellness to the Global community, Lorena has been featured in various media platforms like Univision, Centro Tampa, Business Journal and, most recently was one of the finalists to the prestigious Roar Award and The Business Woman of the Year award for the Tampa Bay Business Journal.
Married to a US NAVY officer, she embraces the challenges of a military lifestyle with a humble intention to share and deliver the message of love, peace, equality and empathy with an open heart.
