2019 Courses & Classes
Below is the description of upcoming Advanced Yoga Teacher Training & Immersion Classes

About the teacher: Yoganand Michael Carroll, E-RYT500 founded Pranakriya Yoga in 2005. He is a Master-Level teacher in the Kripalu Yoga tradition. Through many years of intensive study and practice of Swami Kripalu’s work, Yoganand has gained a profound ability to distill and interpret esoteric yoga texts and techniques.  After studying with Kripalu Yoga masters in India and America, Yoganand taught at the Kripalu Center for more than 15 years before founding Pranakriya Yoga, which he developed from the original teachings of Swami Kripalavandaji and reconfigured to meet the needs of Western yogis in today’s world without taking away from the ancient teachings.

Yoganand serves as the Founder and Dean of Curriculum for the Pranakriya School of Yoga Healing Arts, leads trainings and retreats around the country and world and works to keep the history of Tantric Hatha Yoga alive. Students will find that Yoganand teaches from a place of deep experience and learning and that he shares his understanding in ways that allow them to cultivate and experience greater vitality in their own lives.  Yoganand is registered with the Yoga Alliance as an E-RYT500 level teacher and is a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists -IAYT.

About the teacher: Jacci is striving to use yoga and all its tenets on and off the mat to be fully awake and alive by seeing the extraordinary in every day. Jacci is a Senior Pranakriya and Kripalu yoga teacher and leads a variety of yoga teacher trainings around the country including: 200 Hour Pranakriya Teacher Training, Prenatal Teacher Training and Restorative Yoga Teacher Training.  She attributes the start of her yogic path to her Masters in Health Science program at The George Washington University.  Here she was able to devise a program that emphasized wholeness.  After graduation, she went on to create and manage wellness programs for The George Washington University and Arlington County Government.

Her work introduced her to the practice of yoga and she hasn’t looked back.  She continues her studies with her teacher Yoganand Michael Carroll.  She completed her Yoga Therapist Certification and also practices Thai Yoga Therapy.  Both modalities give her an opportunity to work one-on-one with clients during their healing.  Jacci hopes to help students see the reflection of their own possibility by guiding them in compassion, permission, acceptance and patience.  Jacci lives with her son in Santa Fe, NM. Ancient texts of Hatha Yoga state that inside the body of the yogi are mountains, valleys, oceans, and rivers; the moon and stars move in that inner space.
When practice took ancient seekers deep inside, they encountered an amazing world beyond rational thought. They used symbols to map this inner journey and, over time, those symbols became the esoteric Chakras, Granthis, and Nadis of medieval Hatha Yoga.
Come and see what you find when you shine the light of Kriya, Asana, Pranayama, Bandha, and Mudra into your inner world and look closely through the eyes of meditation. Come and practice as the ancient yogis did, using Hatha Yoga rituals to remove the obstacles to inner experience.
